HomeTame Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HomeTame LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit the website, contact us, request services, become a member, or work with us as a service professional.

1. Introduction

HomeTame LLC ("HomeTame," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. Our services may include home watch, property protection, routine property checks, yard and pool care, vendor coordination, arrival preparation, cleaning, and related property-care services.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with HomeTame, we may collect:

  • Personal and contact information: name, email, telephone, mailing address, property details, emergency contacts, and information submitted through forms or communications.
  • Property and service information: access instructions, keyholder arrangements, inspection notes, maintenance requests, preferences, property features, photos, videos, reports, and relevant alarm or smart-home details.
  • Payment and transaction information: billing details, transaction records, service selections, and payment status. Third-party payment providers may process card details; HomeTame does not intend to store complete card details directly unless disclosed.
  • Website and technical information: IP address, device and browser details, pages visited, referring sites, visit times, interactions, diagnostics, and usage data.
  • Account and booking information, if you use those features: registration details, login information, preferences, appointments, and related communications.
  • Professional and business information submitted by service professionals or business partners, including services, coverage areas, qualifications, experience, and insurance information.

3. How We Collect Information

We may collect information directly from you, from authorized representatives and emergency contacts, from service professionals and vendors involved in requested services, automatically through website technologies and analytics tools, and from service providers supporting our business operations.

Homeowner Service Requests

When you submit a home-problem request, we collect contact details, the property street address and city/state or ZIP, optional unit and access restrictions, the problem description, timing and service preferences, and your acknowledgment of the request process. Google Apps Script processes staff-email notifications so HomeTame can review and coordinate service. If saved-request features are enabled and offered on the form, Supabase stores request, reference, scheduling, approval, and delivery records for authorized staff; optional damage photos are stored privately and accessed through temporary links. Take photos only from a safe location and avoid people, documents, access codes, and payment information. Shared contact/address draft fields remain in the current homepage's memory when switching services, but are not saved to browser storage. We share relevant request information with the provider as needed to arrange the authorized visit. Request cancellation, rescheduling, correction, or deletion by contacting HomeTame with your name and property address, or reference if provided; we verify authority before disclosing or changing personal information.

4. How We Use Your Information

HomeTame may use personal information to respond to inquiries; manage memberships and service arrangements; schedule and coordinate services; conduct authorized property checks and document conditions; communicate about appointments or concerns; process payments and maintain records; operate and improve the website and services; protect customers, properties, personnel, and the business; and comply with legal obligations. We will provide notice or obtain consent for materially different purposes when required by law.

5. Property Access and Security Information

We may receive keys, access codes, alarm instructions, smart-home information, or other access details when needed to provide services you authorize. We use them only for legitimate service purposes and take reasonable measures to limit access to personnel and service providers who need the information. Do not submit passwords, alarm codes, or other sensitive credentials through public forms or unsecured communications. You are responsible for having authority to provide access information and authorize entry.

6. Photographs, Videos, and Property Reports

HomeTame may take photographs, videos, or written notes to document inspections, maintenance concerns, completed services, or other authorized work. Documentation may include relevant interior or exterior conditions, equipment, landscaping, or pools. We may share it with property owners, authorized representatives, or service professionals when needed for requested services. We do not intend to use identifiable images of private property for promotion without permission, except as permitted by law.

7. How We Share Information

We may share relevant information with service professionals and vendors, technology and business providers supporting hosting, communications, scheduling, payments, storage, analytics, or operations, and emergency responders or authorities when appropriate and legally permitted. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights, or during a business transaction, subject to applicable requirements. We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not authorize vendors to use information we provide for their own advertising.

8. Cookies and Website Analytics

The website may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate, understand traffic and interactions, improve performance, remember preferences, and support advertising or tracking if enabled. Google Analytics or similar services may collect website interaction information depending on their settings. You can manage cookies through browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described above.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by information type and service. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we take appropriate steps to delete, destroy, or de-identify it, subject to legal requirements and legitimate business needs.

10. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Safeguards may include access restrictions, secure communications, and appropriate vendor arrangements. No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information; learn how it is collected, used, or disclosed; opt out of certain sales or sharing where applicable; and receive equal service when exercising applicable rights. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA, as amended. Arizona rights depend on applicable law and circumstances. To make a request, contact us using the details below and provide enough information for verification; an authorized representative may act where permitted. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

12. Children's Privacy

The website and services are intended for adults and are not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. If we learn that we collected information from a child where parental consent is required, we will take appropriate steps under applicable law.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may link to third-party websites, payment platforms, scheduling tools, or other services. HomeTame does not control their privacy practices; their own policies govern their collection and use of personal information. Review those policies before providing information.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our business practices, website technologies, services, or legal obligations. When we make changes, we will update the policy and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
